The IFtL Youth Parliament is a pupil-led representative forum across all our schools that gives young people a voice and a platform to influence positive change within their communities.

Pupils from each IFtL school elect two representatives to serve on the Youth Parliament, ensuring every school’s views are heard and valued.

Over the academic year, members meet six times — twice in person and four times online — to collaborate, debate, and work on issues important to them and their school communities.

These meetings cover themes such as sustainability, democracy, and understanding IFtL’s shared values, offering opportunities for pupil leadership, action and collective decision-making.

The Youth Parliament empowers pupils to work together across schools, enhances pupil voice in organisational and community conversations, and supports young leaders to think critically and creatively about the future they want to help shape.
