Olney Infant Academy celebrates Music Mark of Recognition

The recognition from Music Mark, the UK Association for Music Education, celebrates the school’s work to ensure every child has opportunities to learn, perform, create and enjoy music.

Music is an important part of life at Olney Infant Academy, helping children develop their musical skills alongside confidence, creativity and self-expression. The school is committed to making music accessible and inclusive for every child, whatever their starting point or experience.

Mrs Hardy, Music Lead at Olney Infant Academy, said:“I am absolutely delighted that Olney Infant Academy has received the Music Mark of Recognition. Music brings so much joy to our school and gives our children opportunities to be creative, express themselves and build confidence. “It is particularly special to see children develop their musical skills and then share what they have learnt through performance. We want every child to feel that music is for them and that their voice and creativity matter.

The school would also like to recognise Mrs Hardy and the rest of the team for their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication to developing music at Olney Infant Academy and ensuring musical opportunities remain accessible to all children.

The Music Mark of Recognition celebrates schools that champion music within their curriculum and provide equitable, diverse and inclusive music education.
