IFtL’s Got Talent (IGT) Lights Up the Stage

Children from across Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFtL) schools in Exeter School, Priors Hall and Woodnewton in Corby and 13 schools Milton Keynes took to the stage last weekend for an unforgettable celebration of creativity, confidence and community at the IFtL’s Got Talent show.

Pupils from Foundation to Year 7 and Key Stage 1 wowed the audience with an incredible range of performances. From magicians and dancers to singers, poets, guitarists and pianists, the stage came alive with energy as young performers shared their talents with a packed and enthusiastic audience at Olney Middle school.

Hosted by Mr. Ainscow and Mrs. Calder, the event brought together families, colleagues and pupils from across our communities. A panel of six resident judges enjoyed the difficult task of reviewing the performances, offering encouragement and praise to each participant.

The aim of IFtL’s Got Talent is simple but powerful: to celebrate the unique talents of children across our communities and provide opportunities for them to shine beyond their own schools. By bringing pupils together from across IFtL, the event creates a space where creativity, confidence and collaboration can flourish.

The evening perfectly reflected IFtL’s values, with pupils supporting one another, sharing laughter and celebrating each other’s achievements. The atmosphere in the room was filled with excitement and pride as every performer stepped forward to share something special.

One parent shared their appreciation for the event:

“It was wonderful to see so many children from different schools performing together. The confidence they showed was incredible, and you could see how proud they were. It was such a positive experience for everyone involved.”

A member of the judging panel added:

“The standard of talent was truly impressive. What stood out most was the courage and joy each child brought to the stage. Events like this give children a platform to express themselves and build confidence that will stay with them for years.”

For many pupils, the event was not just about performing but about having fun together, making new connections and celebrating the diverse talents that exist across IFtL schools.

With such an inspiring evening of performances, IFtL’s Got Talent once again proved that when young people are given the opportunity to shine, they light up the stage — and the entire community with it.
