The term “Coaching” in schools is currently widespread.Across the 3 half day sessions we will explore what that looks like in a school context and where it appears to be most effective and powerful We will explore and develop thinking around the place of Coaching and its impact in a school setting.
We will consider and explore:• the place of pure Coaching, who would carry this out and what the anticipated benefits would be.• where Coaching sits in relation to; Training Advising Mentoring, Guiding or Instructing.• what a Coaching Culture looks like in school .• Coaching as a professional conversation and the various models that may be explored as appropriate for different settings. On a practical level we will discuss who in your organisation is best placed to coach, how this might be organised and structured and what the expectations of impact would be. The sessions will involve some practical activity, experimentation in coaching techniques with the aim to develop your own skills in coaching. Facilitated by Brian Ball
The cost of the course for non subscriptions schools: £205 + VAT Your school is invoiced after the event.
