This course takes an in-depth look into the Characteristic of effective learning. As children engage in rich learning environments within the early years, they actively think about the meaning of what they are doing. Over time they will begin to become more aware of their own thinking – we call this metacognition. This awareness of oneself as a thinker and learner is thought to be a key characteristic of a successful learner. This course takes this thinking into our approaches to teaching beyond EYFS and is particularly useful for those teaching within the context of Key Stage 1.

The cost of the course for non subscriptions schools: £135 + VAT for a full day course, £75 + VAT for a half day course. Your school is invoiced after the event.
