Jason Smith – Head of Operations

Jason has worked in Milton Keynes schools since 2004, both with the local authority and also with the largest MAT in the country. He was a member of the central health and safety committee at his previous trust overseeing and driving health and safety performance for their 70+ schools and academies. 

As well as directly supporting schools to ensure that buildings are operationally compliant, safe and fully equipped to maximise educational opportunities for our pupils, Jason is responsible for driving the vision and strategy for Estates and facilities.

He is a current member of IOSH at TechIOSH level and helps to support our collaborative network of premises staff in order to share best practice and drive improvement. His work also seeks to maximise opportunities for best value procurement across the trust. 

As DPO, Jason is also responsible for data protection across the trust. He is a certified GDPR practitioner, a member of the IAPP and holds the internationally recognised CIPP/E award which is the global standard in privacy certification and currently the only internationally recognised European privacy qualification.
