World Book Day across IFtL Schools
World Book Day was a huge success across the trust with some fantastic outfits from both children and staff. Children from Chestnuts Primary visited WHSmiths and choose £90 worth of free books! At TMA YR 3 & 4 children returned to school in their pyjamas and onesies for a bedtime story & hot chocolate with their teachers. At the end of the school day, Whitehouse Primary Schools parents and teachers shared some of their favourite books with the children. A great effort from everyone involved.
BBC’s Newsround visits Olney Middle School
Olney Annual Pancake Spectacular – Shrove Tuesday (28 February) saw the annual Pancake race and pancake celebrations in the founding town of Olney. Both Olney schools enjoyed some flipping fun and pancake races and of course pancake making and eating. Olney Middle had a very special visitor in the form of BBC’s Newsround who covered the day’s pancakes events. The feature can be found here http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b08fx1fg/newsround-28022017 and OMS is covered between 2.14 in to 4:20 minutes.
A huge well done to all those involved and a special mention to the children who represented OMS fantastically!!
Olney Middle School Joins the IFtL Family
We are delighted to announce that as of 1st February 2017, Olney Middle School have joined the Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFTL) family of Schools. We have strong and trusted relationships with Glenn Young (Head Teacher) and Olney Middle School, who have worked with the Initial Teacher Training Partnership and naturally, have a very close working relationship with Olney Infant Academy, who joined the trust in January. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to formally welcome Olney Middle School to the IFtL family.
We are very excited for the opportunities that 2017 and beyond holds.
