Kimberley Kemp – Head of School Development


Kimberley is a highly passionate and experienced professional who has over 13 years of experience within leadership, including Headship, with specific interests and expertise in Inclusion, Pupil Support, Pupil Premium and Safeguarding.

She has been the Head of School Development for IFtL and safeguarding lead since January 2017 and is unwaveringly committed in pursuit of development and excellence every day. She works tirelessly to  ensure the highest of educational outcomes for every child, including those within vulnerable groups.

Previously, Kim was a successful Head of a large Primary School in Northampton (Nursery to Year 6) in challenging circumstances  (moving it out from special measures) and firmly believes in the importance of empowering staff to drive improvement with the best for every child being at the heart of each decision made.

She has over eight years’ experience as a Safeguarding Designated Lead, numerous years as Pupil Premium Lead and Head of Behaviour and Safety, and a further five years’ experience as an Inclusion Manager.

As a Senior Leader of Education for Inclusion, Behaviour and Safeguarding since 2013, Kimberley has positively provided mentoring, coaching and support for senior members of staff in a variety of schools across Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

Additionally, she has conducted numerous Safeguarding and Inclusion Audits as part of the school improvement process. Since 2011, Kimberley has been a ‘train the trainer’ within Safeguarding and since 2014 within Prevent; this has involved her competently delivering Safeguarding and Prevent Training for schools within Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire for hundreds of delegates.

Kimberley avidly believes every child, regardless of background, ability and culture, deserves the very best to ensure they achieve to their highest potential and it is every child’s basic right to be happy, safe and valued at all times.
